So excited and happy to release this third album - which I call “Personal Diaries” In this album, I focus on the theme of personal reflections and rejuvenations. There are themes of sweet day dreaming, innocent enchantments, silent reflections, and melancholic sadness, too.
As in my other albums, each song stands on its own: Victor and I have invested full emotions and expressiveness into each piece. Beautiful, warm melodies and harmonies are the essence of our releases. May you find tranquility, peace, courage and resilience from this music.
Sweet Reverie: This fun jolly tune starts off the album with a song for day dreaming. It evokes feelings of peace, innocence, and fun.
Wizard's Chamber: This piece evokes being in a magical, mysterious place - such as a Wizard's Chamber with magical treasures to share.
Romantic Fantasia: This is a piece from the Romantic era with beautiful chords and scales and feelings of being lost in a realm of fantasy.
Autumn Harvest: This piece evokes for me being in the country side, in autmn, near a full moon where people are busy and happy gathering a year's abundant harvest.
Family: A tender song that evokes for me images of a beautiful family.
Spring Dance: An innocent lively song that evokes in me images of dancing in the Spring.
The Pianist: I feel seeing a slightly melacholic pianist playing some Blues music.
Royal Garden: I imagine walking into a garden where the royals are gathered preparing for a coronation or wedding gatherine.
Peaceful Hill: A gentle, reflective song that evokes for me a walk in the woods on a peaceful hill.
Wistful Clouds: One of my personal favorites. I imagine sinking into white fluffy clouds while floating in the blue skies...
Reflections in Solitude: A slightly mysterious and melancholic song that evokes for me images of walking and moving and pondering about life.
Trails of Tears: This song is about recognizing the tragegies of life and the world we live in. Living in a world of contradictions and sadness, I accept yet remain defiant, yet longing for a more Just and Peaceful world.
In one sense, one can view this album as peeling onions on one's consciousness, going from an inward innocent self on a journey toward a more melancholic identify grabbling with this world.
